Flag of India available in 100% Polyester fabric and various measures from 060X100 to 150x300. Particularly suitable for outdoor use and manufactured in European union.

Origin :
The flag of India is also known as 'tiranga', which means tricolor in Hindi. It was designed as a symbol of freedom and recognition of the country as an independent republic, and came into force in July 1947, although its origins begin at the beginning of that century, when the separatist movements began.

History :
Its design is the work of Pingali Venkayya, a fighter for independence. Previously there were other designs, like that of Irma Nivedita, red and yellow with two sacred rays and a lotus; the flag of Calcutta, a tricolor orange, yellow and green, with lotus flowers, a sun and a moon; or the Berlin Committee, green, orange and red, with eight lotuses, the sun and the moon. Later another was used that had five red stripes and four horizontal green stripes, with a half moon with a star and seven other stars. Several more happened until finally the current one was approved, which was raised for the first time on August 15, 1947, after achieving independence from the British Crown.

Meaning :
The colors of the Indian flag have a very special meaning. The upper saffron band symbolizes the abandonment of material things, the spirit of sacrifice. The white refers to the light that guides people to be positive and have a good behavior, as well as peace. And green shows fertility and appreciation for plant life.
On the white band is drawn the blue wheel, which represents the Ashoka chakra. Its 24 radios refer to the 24 hours a day and symbolizes peaceful change.
