The flag of Malaysia u> is inspired by that of the British East India Company, which was maintained from 1600 to 1874. It was made up of British businessmen who had the objective of trading with the East Indies. His banner had red and white horizontal stripes, and the flag of Great Britain in the upper left quadrant.
History :
The Malaysia banner was adopted in September 1963 and Mohamed Hamza designed it. Previously, from the late nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century, there was a flag of the Malay Federated States, which consisted of a horizontal tricolor: white, red and yellow. In the center, on the red and yellow stripes, was a white circle that contained a tiger inside.
Since 1997 the school has been called Glorious Stripes ('Jalur Gemilang').
Meaning :
The Malay flag u> has seven red and seven white stripes, arranged horizontally. They represent the Malay federation and the 13 federated states of Malaysia: Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Perlis, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor and Terengganu. The upper left quadrant is blue and has a decreasing moon, symbol of Islam, and a 14-pointed star, which also refer to the federated states and the Malay federation. The gold of the moon and the star symbolize the monarchy.
