Le drapeau actuel de l’Espagne, également connu sous le nom de « Rojigualda » et qui était basé sur le dessin du drapeau national espagnol de 1785, a été adopté définitivement le 5 octobre 1981 en adoptant la loi établissant le blason national tel que nous le connaissons actuellement.
