Origin:
There are two theories on the USA Flag or United States flag. The first one holds that this American insignia is inspired on the East India Company ensign, while the other holds that its origin can be found on the coat of arms of George Washington.
History:
The first one used on the United States independence was, known as the American flag, was the Grand Union Flag, which was not officially recognized and laid the groundwork for what would be the future national emblem.
In 1977, the continental congress approved the flag of the thirteen original colonies that became independent of the United Kingdom, which was quite similar to de actual one, but only 13 stars formed the circle. Over the years, the American flag has suffered up to 26 amendments, although it was on July 4, 1960 when the current model of 50 stars was adopted.
Meaning:
The 50 States that form this union are represented by stars, while the 13 original colonies that got independent of the United Kingdom are symbolized by bars. In respect to the colours of the United States flag Flag, according to the United States stamp approved on 1972, the perseverance and justice are represented by the blue sky, innocence is represented by the white colour and courage is represented by the blood-red.
